Congratulations to our 2016 graduates!  From left to right: Stan Flanders (DMA), Rose Wilmot (BME), Dr. Frigo, Grant Koenning (BM Composition), and Kayla Berrie (BME, with a Music Business Certificate).

Rose Wilmot is applying for teaching positions at middle and high schools in Georgia.  She cannot wait to work with students after an incredible student teaching experience in spring 2016.

Kayla Berrie has accepted the position as head choral director and assistant band director at Long County High School in southeast Georgia. She will also continue performing in the Athens area. Her band was recently selected for AthFest 2016!

Grant Koenning's future plans are to write music for movies, TV shows, and video games. He also has plans to intern in a music studio and help record/mix music.  His currently teaches a jazz program at a music store.

Stan Flanders will continue his ethnomusicological research beyond the scope of Indian pedagogy on the saxophone, along with performing classical, jazz and Indian music. He plans to use his dissertation and musicianship to work towards achieving a Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholar Award to India to do more research on the hybridization of Indian and classical music traditions.

We wish each of you the very best as you embark on the next chapter of your lives!  Go Dawgs!
