Studio alum Michael Turner (MM, '15) brought a little slice of heaven to Athens on Saturday, April 23rd.  As a representative of Art's Music Shop, Michael brought professional saxophones, mouthpieces, reeds, music, ligatures, and a smile to share with members of the saxophone studio, as well as local middle and high school students.  The availability of all of these items in one place is rare, except at conferences, where it's often difficult to have enough time and quietness to make the best decisions.  Equipment Day made all of that a thing of the past.

Saxophonists were invited from 2:00pm-5:00pm to try all the saxophones and accessories they could get their hands on. Many students walked away with new mouthpieces and saxophones.  Thank you, Michael, for your generosity and enthusiasm!  It was truly a special day for all of us.  Studio resident videographer Allison Chenard (BM, '20) made this fun video of the event.  Check it out!
